Ann
Having enjoyed the leading female roles in the Broadway hits "Oliver," "Sound of Music,"  and "Carnival" at Lake City High School in Lake City, IA, (Yep, she was really something!) Ann headed to college where she declared a major in Vocal Music…for a semester.  Choosing to smoke (cigarettes…it was the ‘70’s…just wanted to clarify) and spend time playing bridge in the family room of her sorority, Ann bid farewell to her career in music and went on to live an ordinary life. She recently moved to Clermont from central Iowa with her husband, Daniel, and kitty cat, Chi. Following retirement from her position as Office Manager for her husband’s financial services office, Ann was looking for a new challenge, and she certainly found it in Sisters of Sound which is anything but ordinary!!!   With an older voice and a forty year gap since last singing for an audience, Ann has joined her daughter, Lindsay, and twin granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia, in this new and exciting endeavor. There’s still life in the ol’ girl, yet!
Her advice to new members, “Listen carefully to members in your section, ALWAYS follow the director and don’t fall off the risers!

Cindy H.

Daphne
Daphne is 15 years old and has been singing all her life. Whether belting out pop songs from the back seat of the car, or singing on stage at church and as a member of a musical theater group, Daphne loves to sing. She has been a member of Sisters Of Sound since 2013. Daphne is a member of the Music Conservatory at Montverde Academy, studying voice. Her other interests include dancing, reading and writing.

Deborah

Diana

Besides singing bass with Sisters of Sound and Serenade, Diana is a local disc jockey. Her smooth voice is a beautiful addition to our choral sound.

Eileen
Emily sings Lead in the chorus. When she is not singing or working on music Emily spends most of her time knitting or working for the Mouse.

Geneva
After spending several years in the arts, dancing (including liturgical dance), acting, and singing in several choirs, Geneva decided to look for a new challenge.
She certainly found it in Sisters of Sound which is anything but ordinary. At present she is singing bass with Sisters Of Sound and recently joined South Lake A Capella Chorus as a member of their bass section.

Gloria
Gloria is proud to have joined Sisters of Sound in 2013. No stranger to performing, Gloria has been a dancer and performer at Not Just Dance since she was four and performed in Moonlight Player’s productions of Seussical the Musical, Fiddler on the Roof and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. In her spare time enjoys reading, drawing and spending time with her friends.

Karen

Karen recently moved to Florida from Connecticut and heard a Sisters of Sound quartet perform at an event.  The a cappella barbershop singing sounded like fun, so she joined the chorus.  Karen plays the flute and had played in bands for years, so it’s been an adjustment to memorize music (what – no little black dots to follow?!).  But there are many talented sisters to learn from, and after singing alto in church choirs for years, she is picking up how to sing with the group.  Karen is a welcome addition to the baritone section.

Katie

Kristin

Kristin sings Tenor in both the chorus and In A Chord. She is living proof that even a busy mother of five young children can find time for something as rewarding as singing with the Sisters (of course she brings her two daughters with her; Kristin is the proud mother of Scarlett and Daphne).

Lindsay
After spending years backstage as a technician with Walt Disney World Entertainment, Lindsay is pleased to experience her barbershop chorus debut with Sisters of Sound and excited to join the Lead section. As mom to twins Sophia and Olivia and daughter of Ann, Lindsay loves being part of one of the three-generations-of-singers families in our chorus. When not spending time with her audio-engineer and composer husband, Dan, she is an active volunteer with Head Start and president of P.E.O. Chapter FJ.

Mary Ann
A charter member of Sisters of Sound, Mary Ann had no experience with singing a cappella close harmonies prior to joining the chorus. She has been singing in church choirs since she was a teenager but with no formal music training found singing with Sisters to be quite challenging and rewarding. After several years as a tenor (the high harmony part), our esteemed director 'requested' that she sing baritone and that is her current voice part, both in the chorus and In A Chord  where she is delighted to be singing with her daughter, Kristin. Mary Ann is a retired nurse who enjoys travel, the great outdoors, and spending time with family – especially her seven grandchildren.

Olivia

Olivia has appeared on stage in productions of Alice in Wonderland Jr., Aristocats, 101 Dalmations Jr., And The Jungle Book. When she’s not on stage, Olivia enjoys playing the guitar with her dad and spending time with her twin sister Sophia and their friends. Olivia is a member of the Music Conservatory at Montverde Academy, studying voice.

Scarlett

Scarlett joined Sisters of Sound in 2013. She has previous experience singing in church and in musical theater, and is now part of the Montverde Academy Music Conservatory. Scarlett is an artist at heart. She loves to draw, paint, make pottery, sing, dance and act. Scarlett also enjoys swimming and roller blading.

Shannon
Shannon has two sons who love to sing and act. After years of supporting them in their hobby, she decided (with much encouragement and to our great delight) to bring her voice back to the stage. She is the lead for the quartet Serenade.

Sophia

A fan of dinosaurs, dragons, and playing the drums, Sophia loves being in Sisters of Sound with her mom, twin sister Olivia, and “Mimi” Ann. She is a seventh grader at Montverde Academy, where she is a member of the Equestrian Team. Sophia is happy to have been invited to come sing with so many of her friends.

Tiana
Our director is an accomplished musician and teacher. She received her Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Tampa. Tiana currently teaches choral music at East Ridge Middle School and directs the South Lake Presbyterian Church choir. She brings her incredible talent to In A Chord as their lead.

Vincenza

Vincenza started singing with Sisters of Sound over the summer of 2015. Vincenza was a student of Tiana’s and 13 years old at the time. Vincenza started off singing lead and moved to the bass section. In addition to singing with Sisters of Sound, Vincenza sings with Unaccompanied Minors. Vincenza is the bass section leader. Vincenza sang with East Ridge High Schools elite choir, Bella Voce (she has now graduated). Vincenza has had the opportunity to perform in Epcot’s Candlelight Processional with Bella Voce and volunteer with America Sings. Vincenza is a graduate of  the Health Science Collegiate Academy (HSCA). The HSCA is a fast track program, by invitation only, that provides students with the opportunity to receive an associates degree one week before a high school diploma. HSCA students take classes designed for older students and are held to higher standards. Academics are very important to Vincenza, as she hopes to be completely finished with school by the time she turns 20. With her busy schedule, Vincenza does not have much time for other hobbies, but she has been teaching herself piano whenever she gets the chance. Vincenza also loves spending time with her family and friends.
