Our Director
Shannon Elswick is the founding musical director of Sisters o
f Sound. In addition to directing various mens' and womens' barbershop choruses over the past 20 years, Shannon is the founder and Co Director of Sound Sensation, a new local affiliate chorus of the Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA).
Shannon has been certified as a judge in Interpretation and Presentation and enjoys coaching as well as performing. In Nashville this summer, Shannon was elected to the board of the barbershop harmony society and will begin his term of service in January 2010.
He is married to his best friend, Becky, and they have 3 sons (Scott 22, Aaron 22, and Drew 21). Shannon works as a healthcare executive and enjoys tennis, scuba diving and singing, not necessarily in that order.
